2007 EXPRESSIONS OF GOD'S LOVE AT CSI

SOUP KITCHEN -- Served 127,476 meals together with love, compassion and prayer. 52,849 of those meals were delivered to homebound elderly through Meals on Wheels, a cooperative effort between CSI and local churches.

ABUNDANT HARVEST -- CSI receives bulk shipments of donated food and distributes it at no cost to over 24 other Christian missions and ministries in a four-state area across the southern United States. In 2007, CSI shipped 247,900 pounds of food & supplies allowing CSI to touch thousands of additional lives for Christ.

ANGEL FOOD -- CSI distributed 8,659 boxes of high-quality, low-cost food to families from 10 counties in Mississippi and Louisiana.

LIBERTY MINISTRIES -- Housed 99 men for 6,218 nights giving God an opportunity to help them break free from life-controlling problems. Placed 18 men and 6 women into other Christian recovery programs for additional growth.

LOVING HANDS -- Dispersed $60,100.62 in emergency assistance to 1055 families (2,974 individuals). Over 200 applications are processed each month, with each applicant receiving an attentive ear, prayer, and encouragement even if not qualified for financial assistance.

BARGAINS & BLESSINGS --Over 22,000 shoppers received free or greatly reduced items of furniture, clothing, etc. Job interview outfits were provided for 18 women looking for work. the thrift store is another example of CSI helping people to help themselves.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES -- Over 1,100 children received gifts, goodies, & lots of love at The Birthday Party for Jesus, Easter Fun Day, and the Back-to-School Kid's Rally. Kids-on-the-Go!-East reached 150-200 children each week with fun-filled Bible teaching. These children look forward to these events not just for the gifts, but because of the love they receive.

OTHER SPECIAL HOLIDAY EVENTS -- 2,274 special meals were served to community for Thanksgiving and another 756 meals for Christmas. Yulecare baskets of food & gifts were delivered to 102 families (286 individuals). These events bring much joy into their lives and allow CSI to share the real meaning of the holidays.
